Property Fraud and First steps to Preventing It
Over the past decade, the United States and the many government sectors have started to take advantage of internet. Federal Government to Local Government have started using websites to provide transparency to government and to the public records they hold. Closer to home, Colorado has made massive strides to allow anyone anywhere access to public records. This has made lives easier, and industry streamlined. However, it has also invited bad actors’ easier access to do horrible things.
The Fremont County Clerk’s Recording Division has invested in a notification program to help homeowners take the first steps into keeping track of their property records and to be aware of potential issues. Learn more as the Clerk Justin D Grantham discusses property fraud and the first steps to safeguarding your home.
